All Tapestries

123 products

Every wool tapestry we weave, in one place. Each piece is handwoven on a loom in our studio in Chrzanów, southern Poland, mostly in two-ply wool, with natural cotton in some designs. This is wool wall art in the literal sense: texture you can touch, color held in the fiber, and the small irregularities that only handwork leaves. Nothing is printed and nothing is made by machine.

Modern tapestry wall art in every format

You will find framed tapestries in solid wood, wall hangings on a rod, 3D textile sculptures from the Aera collection and Oak Mosaic pieces that compose natural oak across a wool surface. The designs range from quiet, almost monochrome weaves to bold geometry and deep pile, so a modern wool tapestry can sit as easily in a calm, minimal room as in a warm, layered one. Handwoven tapestries like these are made to stay: wool is resilient, and a piece hung away from strong direct sun keeps its texture and color for years. Size, frame and timing

Most framed designs come in six standard sizes, from 45 x 75 cm (18 x 30 in) to 100 x 100 cm (39 x 39 in), in natural pine, walnut-stained pine or natural oak; see all framed tapestries. Rod pieces each have their own dimensions, from about 80 x 80 cm (31 x 31 in) upward, listed on the product page, and the biggest are among the large woven wall hangings. Pieces marked ready to ship leave the studio within days; the rest are woven to order, usually in one to two weeks, with free worldwide shipping. If your wall needs another size or palette, we can weave it for you as a custom piece.

Questions about our tapestries

What is the difference between a framed tapestry and a rod hanging?

A framed tapestry is stretched over a wooden stretcher and set in a solid wooden frame, so it sits flat and precise on the wall. A rod piece hangs from a rod and falls freely, keeping the softness of the fiber. Both are woven the same way, by hand, on a loom.

Are your tapestries handmade?

Yes. Every piece is woven by hand on a loom in our studio in Chrzanów, Poland, then stretched, framed or mounted in the same place. No two are exactly alike.

How long does it take to make a tapestry?

Pieces marked ready to ship leave the studio within days. Made-to-order pieces are usually woven in one to two weeks before they ship, with free worldwide shipping.
