Custom Handwoven Textile Art
Every commission begins with the space.
A custom woven wall hanging starts with your wall, not with a fixed design: its proportions, its light, the materials around it and the feeling the room should hold. Every piece is handwoven, never printed. We weave it on a loom in our studio in Chrzanów, southern Poland, in two-ply wool, and finish it in a solid wooden frame from our own workshop or on a rod.
How a custom tapestry is made
- Share the space. Send a photo of the wall, its approximate measurements and the mood you are after. Nothing needs to be final yet.
- Scale and direction. We suggest size, orientation and format, framed or on a rod.
- Composition and palette. Colors are developed by hand and tuned to your materials or reference images.
- Quote and timeline. You receive a formal quote and a production schedule.
- Weaving. The piece is woven entirely by hand, with progress updates along the way.
- Finishing and delivery. We check texture, relief and framing, then the work travels in museum-grade packaging, shipped worldwide with tracking and installation guidance.
Sizes, formats and frames
Our standard framed sizes run from 45 x 75 cm (18 x 30 in) to 100 x 100 cm (39 x 39 in), and a commission can go well beyond them: horizontal or vertical formats, diptychs and triptychs, and oversized works for tall and double-height walls, like the pieces among our large woven wall hangings. Frames are made in natural pine, walnut-stained pine or natural oak. Can you weave a custom tapestry in a specific size?
Yes. Most designs can be woven in custom dimensions and proportions. We look at the wall size, orientation and context first, then confirm what is possible and the price.
Can you match my color palette?
Yes. We develop natural wool palettes by hand, tuned to your material board, fabric samples or reference images.
Is a custom woven wall hanging printed?
No. Every piece is woven by hand on a loom, thread by thread, so the design is built into the structure of the weave, not printed onto fabric.
How long does a custom commission take?
It depends on size and complexity, and the timeline is confirmed with your quote. Faster production is possible for selected projects.
