How long until it ships?

Every piece is handmade to order in Chrzanów, Poland. Processing time depends on the piece (typically 1–2 weeks, longer for larger or made-to-order works), then it ships via FedEx, usually 4–7 business days worldwide.

Who pays customs and import taxes?

Within the EU the price includes applicable tax. Outside the EU (USA, UK, Canada, Australia, etc.) any import duties or taxes are the buyer's responsibility, collected by the courier on delivery. Pieces are declared as original artwork to keep duties as low as possible, though local rates are not guaranteed.

Standard catalog pieces have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the day you receive your order; email team@lalestudio.com and return within 14 days. Return shipping is the buyer's responsibility. Custom made-to-specification pieces are non-returnable.

How is it packed for shipping?

Framed tapestries travel in a custom-built wooden crate. Rod-mounted bamboo pieces ship in carefully secured, reinforced cartons, designed to arrive in perfect condition.

How do I care for it?

Dust the wool gently with a vacuum on the lowest suction using a soft-bristle brush attachment. Framed pieces can have the frame wiped with a lightly damp cloth. Never machine wash or soak the wool, avoid direct sunlight, and skip chemical cleaners.

Is it really handmade?

Yes. Every tapestry is handwoven by hand on a loom and every frame is built and sanded by hand in our workshop in Chrzanów, Poland. No machine weaving, no prints, no MDF. Minor variations are part of the handmade nature, not defects.

Hoe lang tot verzending?

Elk stuk wordt met de hand op bestelling gemaakt in ons atelier in Chrzanów, Polen. De verwerkingstijd hangt af van het stuk — zie de Verwerkingstijd vermeld bij dit product (meestal 1–2 weken, langer voor grotere of op bestelling gemaakte werken). Zodra het klaar is, verzenden we via FedEx, meestal 4–7 werkdagen wereldwijd.

Wie betaalt douane & invoerbelasting?

Binnen de EU: de prijs is inclusief toepasselijke belasting — niets extra bij levering. Buiten de EU (VS, VK, Canada, Australië enz.): eventuele invoerrechten of belastingen zijn voor rekening van de koper, geïnd door de koerier bij levering. We geven elk stuk aan als origineel kunstwerk om de rechten zo laag mogelijk te houden (vaak 0%), maar kunnen je lokale tarief niet garanderen. De bij het afrekenen getoonde belasting is simpelweg wat je daar betaalt — geen verborgen verrassingen.

Kan ik het retourneren?

Standaard catalogusstukken: ja — je hebt 14 dagen herroepingsrecht vanaf de dag dat je je bestelling ontvangt. Mail naar team@lalestudio.com en stuur het stuk binnen 14 dagen terug. De retourkosten zijn voor de koper. Maatwerk / op jouw specificatie gemaakte stukken zijn niet retourneerbaar, omdat ze niet kunnen worden doorverkocht.

Hoe wordt het verpakt?

Ingelijste wandkleden reizen in een op maat gemaakte houten kist, ontworpen om hout en wol te beschermen tijdens internationaal transport. Stukken met stok (bamboe) worden verzonden in zorgvuldig vastgezette, versterkte dozen. Hoe dan ook komt je kunstwerk in perfecte staat aan.

Hoe verzorg ik het?

Stof de wol voorzichtig af met een stofzuiger op de laagste zuigkracht en een zachte borstel. Bij ingelijste stukken kan de lijst met een licht vochtige doek worden afgeveegd. Was de wol nooit in de machine en dompel hem niet onder, vermijd direct zonlicht en chemische reinigers — natuurlijke wol reinigt zichzelf grotendeels dankzij de lanoline.

Is het echt handgemaakt?

Ja — elk wandkleed is met de hand geweven op een weefgetouw, en elke lijst wordt met de hand gebouwd en geschuurd in ons atelier in Chrzanów. Geen machinaal weven, geen prints, geen MDF. Kleine variaties in textuur en tint horen bij het handgemaakte, unieke karakter van elk stuk — geen defecten.
