Kanso is a handwoven wall hanging shaped by the Japanese idea of simplicity, natural wool and cotton worked by hand into a calm geometric pattern. In soft beige, off-white and oatmeal, it invites quiet and harmony into a room.
Each Kanso is woven by hand at our Chrzanów studio, then suspended from a bamboo rod, light and ready to hang. The minimalist design and textured fibre keep it grounded and contemporary.
A serene accent for a Japandi living room, a Scandinavian bedroom, or a wabi-sabi corner. A handwoven wall hanging with quiet, minimalist geometry.
Every knot is tied by hand. Every frame is sanded by hand.

Wow- my new piece of artwork is stunning. It looks exactly as described and very plush and nice. I know there are tons of “macrame/yarn” tapestries out there but they are all so common. Lalestudio’s pieces are so unique and well made. I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. I had such a large space to fill and she did not disappoint with her piece. The only hiccup I had was the shipment too longer than expected getting to the US and to me- however anytime I messaged Lalestudio, she responded quickly and helped me figure out what was going on. Don’t fret if your item is in customs for a week or two- it will get to you eventually. However-that is no reflection on the seller. It was quite literally, out of her hands.
Again- satisfied buyer and so happy!

Shipping, customs, returns & care — answered.
How long until it ships?
Every piece is handmade to order in our studio in Chrzanów, Poland. Processing time depends on the piece — see the Processing Time noted on this product (typically 1–2 weeks, longer for larger or made-to-order works). Once ready, it ships via FedEx, usually 4–7 business days worldwide.
Who pays customs & import taxes?
Within the EU: the price includes applicable tax — nothing extra on delivery. Outside the EU (USA, UK, Canada, Australia, etc.): any import duties or taxes are the buyer's responsibility, collected by the courier on delivery. We declare each piece as original artwork to keep duties as low as possible (often 0%), though we can't guarantee your local rate. Any tax shown at checkout is simply what you pay there — no hidden surprises.
Can I return it?
Standard catalog pieces: yes — you have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the day you receive your order. Just email team@lalestudio.com and return the piece within 14 days. Return shipping is the buyer's responsibility. Custom / made-to-your-specification pieces are non-returnable, as they can't be resold.
How is it packed for shipping?
Framed tapestries travel in a custom-built wooden crate, designed to protect the wood and wool across international transport. Rod-mounted (bamboo) pieces ship in carefully secured, reinforced cartons. Either way, your artwork is built to arrive in perfect condition.
How do I care for it?
Dust the wool gently with a vacuum on the lowest suction using a soft-bristle brush attachment. For framed pieces, the frame can be wiped with a lightly damp cloth. Never machine wash or soak the wool, avoid direct sunlight, and skip chemical cleaners — natural wool is largely self-cleaning thanks to its lanolin.
Is it really handmade?
Yes — every tapestry is handwoven by hand on a loom, and every frame is built and sanded by hand in our workshop in Chrzanów. No machine weaving, no prints, no MDF. Minor variations in texture and tone are part of the handmade, one-of-a-kind nature of each piece — not defects.
Send us your wall dimensions, a photo of the space and your preferred palette — we'll recommend the right scale and prepare a custom proposal, mockup and formal quotation.
