Woven Textile Wall Art

82 products

Textile wall art made the slow way: every piece in this collection is woven by hand on a loom in our studio in Chrzanów, southern Poland, mostly in two-ply wool, a few in natural cotton. Nothing is printed and nothing is made by machine. What hangs on your wall is the weave itself, with real depth and relief, and a surface that changes as daylight moves across it.

Woven wall art in four forms

This is our most architectural work, gathered in one place. Most pieces are stretched over a wooden stretcher and set in a solid wooden frame from our own workshop, so they sit flat and precise against the wall. Others hang from a rod and fall softly under their own weight. The Aera pieces are 3D textile sculptures, woven and shaped by hand into folds and relief, and the Oak Mosaic works compose small pieces of natural oak across a handwoven wool surface. Together they make modern textile wall art for calm interiors, from Japandi to warm minimalism: handmade fiber art you can live with every day.

Choosing size and frame

Most framed works come in six standard sizes, from 45 x 75 cm (18 x 30 in) to 100 x 100 cm (39 x 39 in). Above a sofa or sideboard, a piece about two thirds of the furniture's width usually feels right; smaller formats suit hallways and pairs. Frames are made in natural pine, walnut-stained pine or natural oak, and the Oak Mosaic pieces are framed in oak only. For every framed design, see the framed tapestries; for softer pieces on a rod, our wool wall hangings; for a tall stairwell or a double-height wall, the large woven wall hangings.

Wool also does something quieter: it softens echo in a room with hard floors and bare walls. Pieces marked ready to ship leave the studio within days, and the rest are woven to order, usually in one to two weeks. If nothing here fits your wall, we will weave a custom woven wall hanging to your size and palette.

Questions about textile wall art

What is textile wall art?

Textile wall art is artwork made from fiber and made for the wall. Ours is woven by hand on a loom, mostly in two-ply wool, so the design is built into the structure of the weave instead of being printed on top of it. You can see the texture, and you can feel it.

Is woven wall art the same as a tapestry?

A tapestry is one kind of woven wall art: the design is woven into the textile itself, row by row. Every piece here is a tapestry in that sense, presented in a solid wooden frame, on a rod, or shaped into a 3D textile sculpture.

How do you hang textile wall art?

Framed pieces have four mounting brackets on the back; use all four, with screws suited to your wall, and the frame sits flush and level. Rod pieces need two screws or hooks placed just beyond the edges of the textile. Aera sculptures without a frame use a concealed mount, described on each product page. Screws are not included, because the right fixing depends on the wall.

Can you weave a piece in my size or colors?

Yes. Most designs can be woven in custom dimensions and palettes. Send us a photo of your wall with its measurements, and we will suggest scale, format and frame.
